Hannah Cho, Assistant Concertmaster

Member of Southwest Florida Symphony since: 2007

Born: in Hamilton, Ontario and grew up in Seoul, South Korea

Age started learning Violin: 4 yrs old

Degrees: Bachelor of Music (BM) at Yonsei University, Advanced certificate in Performance at University of Toronto

Hannah studied and took lessons on Violin for 14 years PRIOR to attending college

Symphonic experience Hannah brings to SWFSO:  In addition to being the Assistant Concertmaster in Southwest Florida Symphony, Hannah is the Associate Concertmaster in Venice Symphony, and a Section Violinist in Sarasota Orchestra

Music Festivals Hannah has been a part of: Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Spoleto Music Festival, Brott Music Festival

Something you may not know about Hannah: “When I auditioned in 2007, I didn't own a car. So I took a greyhound from Miami to Fort Myers that took about 5 hours. One of the most memorable audition trips I had!  Something unique about me is that I am Korean Canadian American”

Famous musicians Hannah has worked with:  Gil Shaham, Yo-Yo Ma

Teaching Experience:  “I have 9 students from 2nd grader to an adult.”

What Hannah likes most about playing in SWFSO:  “Playing with my colleagues - it's always great to see them as we don't get to meet often.”
